This is a big number but Creighton looks plenty determined to run through the NIT after failing to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. The Bluejays waxed Alabama 72-54 in the opening round of the NIT and covered easily as an 8.5-point favorite. Guard Maurice Watson Jr. scored 20 points in the victory while Khyri Thomas chipped in 15 points and Geoffrey Groselle grabbed 14 boards.
The Bluejays have covered the spread in four of their last five home games and are 5-1 ATS in their last six non-conference games. They’re also 10-1 against the number in their last 11 home games versus a team with a road winning percentage of greater than .600 while the Seahawks have failed to cover in four of their last five games coming off a win. In fact, Wagner is 2-6 against the spread in its last eight games overall as well.
