The Tennessee Volunteers (15-8) will receive a boost starting tonight with the return of head coach Bruce Pearl, who served an eight-game SEC suspension. Tennessee will be heading into a tough Rupp Arena venue for a clash with rival Kentucky, which is focused on avoiding a third straight defeat.
Action starts between Tennessee and Kentucky at 9:00PM EST and will be aired on ESPN. Oddsmakers and online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have made Kentucky 9-point favorites in the contest.
According to the latest trends, Kentucky is 4-1 against the spread over the past three seasons versus Tennessee. The Wildcats are 10-0 in home games this season.
Terrence Jones (17.8 ppg, 8.9 rpg) leads Kentucky into action, while Brandon Knight averages 17.5 points per game. Scotty Hopson puts in 16.5 points per game for the Volunteers and Tobias Harris scores 14.8 ppg.
