Dayton vs. Duquesne Prediction
Dayton is a perfect 4-0 on the road this season but just 2-2 against the spread away from its home court. With the Flyers cover as a large road favorite on Wednesday night when they visit Duquesne at 7:00 p.m. ET?

Dayton Player Spotlight
Obi Toppin finished with 24 points (9-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block Tuesday against VCU. Toppin looked like his usual self despite entering the contest questionable due to an ankle injury. He rewarded patient DFS managers with his best rebounding game since November, and the points are almost always there for the sophomore. A physical St. Louis defense awaits Friday, but Toppin has been largely matchup proof to date.
Duquesne Player Spotlight
Marcus Weathers had a team-high 20 points (7-8 FG, 6-8 FT) Wednesday at Rhode Island, adding seven rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block. Weathers was the only Duke in double-figures. He was coming off of consecutive 10 rebound games and previously had consecutive 20+ point games against Marshall and St. Louis in late December/early January. He remains the Dukes’ best fantasy contributor, but upcoming games against Dayton and St. Louis can be faded when possible, while rolling him out against UMass, La Salle and St. Bonaventure makes perfect sense.
College Basketball Betting Trends
Dayton
The Flyers are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall.
Duquesne
The Dukes are winless at the betting window in their last four games overall and are 0-5 against the number in their last five games when listed as an underdog.
College Basketball Prediction
Dayton should be able to cover the 8 but I like the total more, which I believe is too short. The over is 5-0 in the Flyers’ last five games overall, is 20-8-1 in their last 29 games when listed as a road favorite and is 35-17-1 in their last 53 games overall. While the under is 5-0-1 in the Dukes’ last six games overall, the over is also 6-0-1 in their last seven games when they’re a home underdog. The over is also 13-6-2 in the Dukes’ last 21 home games and is 6-2-1 in their last nine home contests when facing an opponent with a winning road record.
