ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) -Kenny George scored 16 points to lead five double-figure scorers in North Carolina-Asheville's 94-64 rout of Montreat on Monday.
Vincent James had 13 points, Bryan Smithson added 12 and Reid Augst and John Williams scored 10 apiece for the Bulldogs (10-3), which continued its best start since 1983-84.
UNC Asheville shot 51 percent and held a 56-35 rebounding advantage in improving to 14-1 against Montreat in regular-season games, winning four straight in the western North Carolina series.
Kinard Barnett had 14 points and Matthew Rushing added 13 for Montreat (5-8), which has lost two straight since winning three in a row in early December.
Asheville had a season-high 25 assists in improving to 8-1 at home.
