GRAND FORKS, N.D (AP) -Travis Bledsoe’s 15 points helped North Dakota defeat Saint Olaf 69-58 on Tuesday night.
Bledsoe was 3 of 5 from 3 and 6 of 10 from the field. Derek Benter added a career-high 14 points, including 6 of 7 from the free-throw line. The Fighting Sioux (2-12) were 15 of 18 (83.3 percent) from the free-throw line.
The Oles (4-5) were led by Stuart Neville’s 20 points and three blocked shots. Mark Torell added 19 points, making 8 of 15 shots from the field. Nate Krosschell had a game-high nine rebounds.
North Dakota held a 41-31 lead at halftime. The Oles would cut the lead to three, 48-45, with 11:08 left in the game. North Dakota quickly countered with a 12-3 run over the next four minutes to extend the lead to 60-48.
This was the first ever meeting between the two schools.
