WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) – Melvin Tabb is back with Wake Forest’s basketball team after a 21/2-week leave of absence to focus on his academics.
Coach Jeff Bzdelik said Saturday that the freshman forward had been reinstated to the team and will be in uniform for the Demon Deacons’ game Sunday against North Carolina-Wilmington.
Tabb took leave from the team Nov. 22 to focus on academics and sat out four games before returning to practice Friday night.
He averaged 2.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in three games, and a bout of mononucleosis led him to miss portions of preseason practice and the season-opening loss to Stetson.
