Marshall helps boost Southeastern past Savannah St., 67-65 Print

 SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -Nathan Marshall led Southeastern with 13 points, including a layup and a crucial foul shot in the last 10 seconds of a 67-65 victory over Savannah State Wednesday night.
Savannah State (3-4) turned a 27-27 halftime tie into a 52-40 lead halfway through the second half with an 8-0 run.
A 3-pointer by Jordan McKenna cut the lead to nine. After a dunk at the 9:33 mark by Lazarius Coleman, who led the Tigers with 17 points, Southeastern (5-1) rattled off 11 straight and tied it at 54-54 with a 3-pointer by Sterling Brown with 6:47 to play.
Layups by Anthony Jones and Coleman cut the Tigers' deficit to 64-62 with 17 seconds on the clock. Marshall made it 66-62, and after a 3-pointer by Patrick Hardy, connected from the free-throw line with four seconds remaining.
Israel Galloway added 11 points for Southeastern. Chris Linton scored 14 and Jones 11 for the Tigers.
