CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -North Carolina State starting forward Tracy Smith will miss the rest of the Wolfpack’s games at the Charleston Classic.
The school said Friday that Smith returned to Raleigh, N.C., to have his left knee evaluated by the school’s orthopedic staff.
The senior played only six minutes in North Carolina State’s 85-65 win over East Carolina on Thursday. He went to the locker room and returned with his left leg wrapped. He did not play again and limped to team huddles.
Smith has started 51 games of the 87 he has played for the Wolfpack.
They will take on George Mason on Friday night with the winner advancing to Sunday night’s championship game.
