KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – There’s been plenty of change in the Big 12 this season.
West Virginia and TCU have joined the fold, while Missouri and Texas A&M are off to the SEC. Billy Gillispie is out at Texas Tech and Frank Martin gone from Kansas State, while an interim coach is in place in Lubbock and former Illinois coach Bruce Weber is now wearing purple.
One thing that hasn’t changed is that Kansas is still picked to win the league.
The Jayhawks have done so each of the last eight seasons, and were a unanimous pick to make it nine straight in voting by the league’s coaches. Kansas coach Bill Self said he welcomes the lofty expectations, pointing out that his team has come to expect a championship.
