EDS: SUBS lede to CORRECT nickname to Mountain Hawks.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) -Associate head coach Brett Reed was promoted to take over the basketball program at Lehigh on Friday, three days after Billy Taylor left the Mountain Hawks for Ball State.
Reed was an assistant at Lehigh for five seasons and held a number of responsibilities, including recruiting coordinator, academic mentor and scout. Before taking the job at Lehigh, Reed was the top assistant at High Point for two seasons.
Taylor was 81-69 in five seasons at Lehigh, including a Patriot League championship in 2004. He took over a Ball State program that is dealing with possible NCAA violations and claims of a ``racially hostile work environment'' by former coach Ronny Thompson.
