WASHINGTON (AP) -Georgetown center Roy Hibbert has been invited to the tryouts for the U.S. team that will compete in next month’s Pan-American Games.
Hibbert, who withdrew his name from the NBA draft to return for his senior season with the Hoyas, was one of the 30 collegians invited by USA Basketball. He averaged 12.9 points and 6.9 rebounds this season and helped Georgetown reach the Final Four.
The Pan-American Games will be held July 13-29 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
