Arizona has hired Damon Stoudamire as an assistant coach to Sean Miller, bringing one of the program's most popular players back to Tucson.
Stoudamire helped lead Arizona to the Final Four in 1994 and was a consensus All-American and the Pac-10 player of the year in 1995.
He went on to play 13 seasons four NBA teams after being selected with the No. 7 overall draft pick by the Toronto Raptors in 1995.
Stoudamire worked the past two years as an assistant to Josh Pastner at Memphis after spending two seasons as an assistant for the Memphis Grizzlies. He also served as director of player development for Rice under Ben Braun in 2008-09 after retiring as a player.
