NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -Oklahoma guard Willie Warren plans to enter the NBA draft, skipping his final two seasons of eligibility with the Sooners.
Warren made the announcement Thursday. He’s the second member of Oklahoma’s backcourt to indicate a desire to turn pro. Tommy Mason-Griffin is leaving after one season with the Sooners.
Warren was projected as a first-round draft pick following his freshman season but decided to return to Oklahoma. He led the Sooners in scoring at 16.3 points per game, but he missed 10 games, including eight because of an ankle injury. He had surgery on the ankle March 3.
The Sooners finished 13-18.
