NEW YORK (AP) -The Big East has been a big letdown for President Barack Obama.
Through the first 12 games of the NCAA tournament Thursday, Obama has correctly predicted all but three results in his bracket. All three losses were by teams in the Big East: Georgetown, Notre Dame and Marquette.
Obama, who filled out a bracket for ESPN for the second straight year, had Georgetown reaching the round of eight. The Hoyas, the No. 2 seed in the Midwest Regional, were stunned by 14th-seeded Ohio 97-83.
Sixth-seeded Notre Dame lost to No. 11 Old Dominion in the South Regional, while No. 6 Marquette was edged by 11th-seeded Washington in the East Regional.
The First Fan still has his Final Four in tact: Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky and Villanova.
