INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Illinois guard Chester Frazier will miss the Big Ten quarterfinals - and likely the rest of the conference tournament - after having surgery on an injured right hand.
Team spokesman Kent Brown would not say whether the hand was broken. Brown says Frazier might still be able to play next weekend when the Fighting Illini are expected to be playing in the NCAA tournament.
Frazier hurt the hand during Wednesday's practice and had surgery Thursday morning. Brown called the surgery minor, but would not give details.
Illinois plays Michigan on Friday night.
