CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -Radford senior center Artsiom Parakhouski is the Big South player of the year for the second straight season, and Coastal Carolina’s Cliff Ellis has been honored as the coach of the year
Parakhouski averaged a league-best 21.6 points and 13.2 rebounds, and has 24 double-doubles in 29 games. He was joined on the all-conference team Monday by Joseph Harris and Chad Gray of Coastal Carolina, Nick Barbour of High Point and Jamarco Warren of Charleston Southern.
Ellis led the Chanticleers (26-5, 15-3) to their first Big South regular season title since 1991.
The league’s coaches and a media panel also voted Charleston Southern’s Jeremy Sexton freshman of the year and Winthrop’s Mantoris Robinson defensive player of the year.
