LODI, N.J. (AP) – Holy Family wrapped up a trying week with a 79-71 loss to Felician in its regular-season finale Friday night.
Coach John O’Connor resigned Thursday, days after videotape of a physical incident during a “combat rebounding” drill hit the Internet and went viral. O’Connor is seen in the video pushing player Matt Kravchuk to the ground and kicking him.
The video appeared Thursday on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” and O’Connor apologized on the show. Kravchuk did not accept it.
Devon Young had 28 points and 13 rebound to lead three players with double-doubles for Felician (14-12, 10-8 Central Athletic Collegiate Conference).
Tim Smith had 21 points and 14 rebounds to lead Holy Family (6-21, 4-13).
