AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) - The Air Force Academy has called a news conference for Wednesday to discuss its men's basketball program amid reports that Jeff Reynolds is out as head coach. The (Colorado Springs) Gazette, citing a source it didn't name, said Reynolds had been fired and assistant Dave Pilipovich will be the interim coach. Air Force officials didn't immediately return calls from The Associated Press. For five seasons, the 55-year-old Reynolds has been leading the Falcons, who are 11-10 this year with a 1-6 mark in the Mountain West Conference. The Falcons suffered their worst home loss ever on Jan. 31 when they lost to New Mexico 81-42. Reynolds has a 63-82 overall record at Air Force and owns a 145-116 career mark in eight seasons as a head coach. |
