Porter leads Wagner to comeback win Print

 EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) -Wagner scored nine consecutive points in overtime to complete a comeback from a 19-point first-half deficit and defeat Mount St. Mary's 83-75 on Thursday night.
Mark Porter, who finished with 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists in 44 minutes for the Seahawks (16-6, 9-2 Northeast Conference), scored eight points in overtime, including a 3-pointer during the 9-0 run that turn a tied game into a 75-66 lead with 1:13 remaining.
The Mountaineers (10-13, 6-6) led 33-14 late in the first half and still held a commanding 48-34 edge with 15:56 remaining in regulation. Wagner scored the next 12 points, but MSM led 60-53 with 5:45 left. The Mountaineers, however, failed to score on eight of the last 10 possessions of regulation and managed only a free throw over the first 4:12 of overtime.
Five players reached double figures in scoring for Wagner, including Durrell Vinson, who had 11 points and 11 rebounds. Chris Vann and Jeremy Goode had 15 points each for Mount St. Mary's and Will Holland finished with 14, including a 3-pointer with 16 seconds left that sent the game to overtime.
Tied 66-66 midway through the overtime, Vinson drove the lane to give Wagner the lead. Porter then made a steal and outlet pass to Vinson, whose layup made it 70-66. Porter connected on a 3-pointer from the right wing and Joey Mundweiler hit a layup to cap the run at 75-66 with 53 seconds remaining.
