HONOLULU (AP) -Roderick Flemings scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Hawaii to a 69-43 victory over Fresno State Thursday.
Hawaii got 12 points from Kareem Nitoto, 10 from Bill Amis and Flemings added four assists and three blocks.
Fresno State missed on its first five attempts from the field and Hawaii took a 10-0 lead to open the game and never looked back.
The Rainbow Warriors, who shot 45 percent to Fresno State’s 12 percent in the first half, out-rebounded the Bulldogs 28-11 in the first half. Hawaii led 34-10 at the intermission. It was the poorest offensive output of the season for Fresno State, which shot 27 percent (14 of 52) from the field.
The Rainbow Warriors improved to 11-11 overall, 3-7 in the Western Athletic Conference. The Bulldogs dropped to 9-14, 1-7 in the WAC.
