LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -Rick Pitino's bench might not be depleted next year after all.
Two months after saying he expected sophomores Derrick Caracter and Earl Clark to turn pro after this season, Pitino said Friday there is no question that Clark will return for his junior season.
The 6-foot-9 Clark is averaging 11.8 points and a team-high 10.1 rebounds for the Cardinals. He had his seventh double-double of the season in a 63-54 win over West Virginia on Thursday.
Pitino also left the door open that junior forward Terrence Williams could return. Pitino had said before the season that Williams would probably enter the NBA draft. Williams said Thursday night he's leaning toward returning for his senior year.
