 BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. (AP) - Ben Mockford tallied 19 points as St. Francis (N.Y.) dominated the second half in a 70-56 victory over Mount St. Mary's Thursday night in Northeastern Conference action.
Mockford was 6-of-9 shooting, including 5 of 6 from 3-point range. Four of Mockford's treys came in the first 5 minutes of the second half, during which time the Terriers turned a 27-25 intermission advantage into a 43-32 lead.
St. Francis (6-8, 2-1) went on to shoot 50 percent (13 of 26) in the half and closed on a 7-2 run for the 14-point win.
Thursday's game was the first on a four-game road trip for the Mountaineers (6-8, 1-2), who have now dropped four straight away from home.
Kristijan Krajina entered averaging 15 points and five rebounds in his past three games, and led the nation with a 71.2 shooting percentage, but scored just six points on 2-of-2 shooting Thursday.
