PHOENIX (AP) -Kevin Garnett has joined Paul Pierce on the sideline for the Boston Celtics.
Garnett sat out Wednesday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns because of a hyperextended right knee.
Coach Doc Rivers said before the game that Garnett hurt the knee in Sunday’s loss to the Clippers in Los Angeles. Rivers said he didn’t like the way Garnett “looked at all” in Monday’s loss at Golden State.
The Celtics were without Pierce for the fourth game because of an injured right knee.
Rivers said he doesn’t know how long the injury will sideline Garnett. The coach said he’s also keeping a close eye on guard Rajon Rondo, who played despite a sore hamstring.
