PHOENIX (AP) -All-Star center Dwight Howard left Orlando's game against the Phoenix Suns on Friday night with soreness in his left knee.
Howard made his first five shots and scored 12 points while playing all 12 minutes of the first quarter. But he played only 10 more minutes before leaving the game for good with 8:36 left in the third period.
Howard finished with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting with seven rebounds. He also was whistled for goaltending four times.
