MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -The Minnesota Timberwolves will introduce point guard Luke Ridnour at a press conference on Wednesday.
Ridnour and the Timberwolves agreed to terms on a four-year contract worth $16 million last week. The 29-year-old is being brought in to add some veteran experience to a roster where no other player is older than 25.
Ridnour spent last season as the backup to Brandon Jennings in Milwaukee. He averaged 10.4 points and four assists to help the Bucks reach the playoffs. He will back up second-year pro Jonny Flynn in Minnesota.
Flynn’s current backup, Ramon Sessions, is expected to be traded to make room for Ridnour.
