CLEVELAND (AP) -The Cleveland Cavaliers will expand paperless ticketing to all seats and events at Quicken Loans Arena beginning in October.
The club announced Monday that Veritix’s Flash Seats paperless ticketing technology will be used for all games, concerts and special events at the arena. The team launched the system for Cavs’ season ticket holders in 2006.
The technology allows customers to use a credit card or driver’s license to enter an event and to electronically transfer seats.
Cavaliers spokesman Tad Carper says a contract that was expiring in 2010 with rival service Ticketmaster was resolved through a mutual agreement.
Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert leads the investor group that owns Veritix.
