MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -Michael Beasley says he is looking forward to playing with a young Timberwolves team and showing how much he has grown in the last year or so.
Minnesota held an introductory news conference for Beasley on Thursday and the way he sees it, “introductory” is the perfect word to describe it.
The former No. 2 overall draft pick was known more for his trouble off the court than his performance on it during two seasons in Miami. He says “there’s a lot that the world don’t know about me.”
The Timberwolves acquired Beasley in a trade with Miami for two second-round draft picks. The Heat needed to dump his salary to make way for LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade and the Timberwolves are hoping a change of scenery will be enough to get Beasley on track.
