MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -The Minnesota Timberwolves have no shot at LeBron James when free agency opens late Wednesday night.
They do, however, have plenty of money to spend and plans to be aggressive with it as they continue the latest in a long line of rebuilding projects.
The highly anticipated free agent market opens at 11:01 p.m. Central time on Wednesday. Wolves president David Kahn says he is making bringing back center Darko Milicic his first priority.
The Timberwolves also will consider a number of sign-and-trade options, with Memphis forward Rudy Gay also in the mix. If Milicic re-signs, big man Al Jefferson could be on his way out of Minnesota in a trade.
