GREENBURGH, N.Y. (AP) – The New York Knicks selected Wichita State forward Cleanthony Early with the 34th pick in the NBA draft Wednesday night.
A 6-foot-7 Early averaged 16.4 points and 5.9 rebounds last season as senior, both team highs. He helped the Shockers finish the regular season 35-0 and advance to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
New York acquired the No. 34 pick Wednesday in a trade with the Dallas Mavericks.
The Knicks have another second-round selection, 51st overall, the other pick acquired from Dallas.
