DETROIT (AP) -Detroit Pistons executive Joe Dumars says he has a good sense for who’ll be selected with the top five NBA draft picks.
The team’s president for basketball operations said Wednesday he expects John Wall, Evan Turner, Derrick Favors, Wesley Johnson and DeMarcus Cousins to go before the Pistons get to pick at No. 7 overall.
Detroit is expected to pick a power forward or center. Dumars might choose North Carolina’s Ed Davis, Baylor’s Ekpe Udoh or Cole Aldrich of Kansas unless he makes a trade.
If the No. 7 pick pans out, the Pistons might avoid being in the NBA draft lottery for a second straight year.
