SALEM, Ore. (AP) - Two brothers allege that people standing near Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard assaulted them after one of the victims took a photo of the NBA Rookie of the Year.
The brothers tell Portland television station KGW ( ) that the suspects were Lillard's ``entourage,'' but police say they haven't determined whether they are associated with the player.
Portland police Sgt. Pete Simpson says Lillard spoke with officers and ``is not a suspect'' in the assault. Simpson says the brothers had facial injuries and were treated at the scene after the scuffle early Saturday morning in a downtown nightlife district. They were not taken to a hospital.
The Blazers say they're aware of the incident and based on preliminary reports, none of their players is considered a suspect in the case.
