INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Paul George wants to guard Atlanta’s Jeff Teague on Tuesday night, and it appears he’ll get his wish. But how much time the Indiana All-Star spends on Teague is unclear.
After Saturday night’s eight-point loss to the Hawks, the Pacers need to make adjustments to salvage Game 2 before the series moves back to Atlanta for the next two games.
On Sunday, George said he and Vogel talked about a defensive switch, and he would ”draw that assignment.”
In the last two games against his hometown team, Teague has torched the Pacers for 53 points, including a playoff career-high 28 Saturday to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead in this best-of-seven, first-round series.
