WASHINGTON (AP) -Washington forward Antawn Jamison missed a game for the first time this season Friday night against Miami because of a sprained right shoulder.
Jamison, averaging 21.5 points and a team-leading 10.2 rebounds, injured his shoulder late in Wednesday’s loss to Milwaukee.
“I’m feeling better – a lot better than the night it happened,” Jamison said. “As of now, it’s day-to-day.”
Washington plays at Chicago on Saturday, then has three days off until Wednesday’s game against Boston.
”I don’t see me missing too much action,” Jamison said. “If I’m not available tomorrow, then definitely Wednesday.”
Darius Songaila started in place of Jamison.
