CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -The Miami Heat saw three key players injured in a 5-minute span in the second half of Friday’s game against Charlotte.
First, forward Udonis Haslem cut his right thumb on the backboard while defending Gerald Wallace’s driving layup attempt in the final minute of the third quarter. He was taken to the locker room and did not return.
Early in the fourth quarter, forward Michael Beasley twisted his right ankle while backing up defending Boris Diaw. He was also taken to the locker room.
Two minutes later, center Jermaine O’Neal also came up lame with an apparent ankle injury. He was taken to the locker room, but returned to the bench a couple minutes later.
Earlier, the Bobcats lost starting shooting guard Raja Bell to a strained right calf.
