HIDALGO, Texas (AP) – Houston Rockets’ first-round draft pick Royce White says he’s “fresh, real ready to go” after two workouts with the team’s developmental league affiliate.
White, the 16th overall pick, had been away from the Rockets since early November as he and the team worked out an agreement addressing his anxiety disorder. The two sides announced an agreement on Jan. 26, and White reported to Rio Grande Valley in South Texas on Monday.
White said Tuesday that he’s been “right on the verge of coming back the whole time.” He says he’s “not really nervous,” despite more than two months away from the team.
