 CHICAGO (AP) -The Chicago Bulls waived forward Viktor Khryapa on Thursday and reached a settlement on the remainder of his contract.
The 6-foot-9 Khryapa averaged 3.6 points and 2.2 rebounds in nine games this season. He played 33 games with Chicago last season.
He was picked by the New Jersey Nets in the first round of the 2004 draft and his rights were traded to Portland for Eddie Gill. The Trail Blazers traded him to Chicago along with the rights to Tyrus Thomas for the rights to LaMarcus Aldridge in June 2006.
