WASHINGTON (AP) -Caron Butler returned to the Washington Wizards’ lineup Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers after missing three games with a strained left hip flexor.
Butler, picked as an All-Star reserve last week, started and made his second field-goal attempt.
“We haven’t seen him in any contact practice yet, so we’ll see how he is and where he is on the floor,” Wizards coach Eddie Jordan said before the game. “I want to look at him and make sure there’s no hesitation in his play. I don’t want to see a 65-75 (percent) Caron Butler.”
Butler entered Sunday averaging 21.9 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists. He also had made 70 consecutive free throws.
