CLEVELAND (AP) -Los Angeles Clippers center Chris Kaman missed his second straight game Sunday night against Cleveland because of a sprained left ankle.
Kaman, who leads the Clippers with 20.2 points a game and is second on the team with 9.1 rebounds, participated in pregame warmups, but the decision was made that he would sit out. He also missed Friday night’s game at Minnesota. The Clippers are 0-5 without Kaman, who is listed as day-to-day.
Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy said Kaman was getting better but wasn’t sure if he could run and cut on the ankle.
Kaman was injured in the third quarter against New Jersey on Jan. 27, but finished the game.
Second-year center DeAndre Jordan started in Kaman’s place against the Cavaliers.
