EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -The New Jersey Nets recalled second-year center Sean Williams on Thursday from the Colorado 14ers, the team’s affiliate in the NBA Development League.
Williams started six of eight games with Colorado, averaging 9.8 points, 7.5 rebounds and almost four blocks in 25.9 minutes. He had 27 points on 12-of-14 shooting and 16 rebounds in 37 minutes at Rio Grande on Jan. 14. He also had 16 points, 16 rebounds and six blocks at Austin on Jan. 10.
Prior to his assignment in late December, Williams had appeared in 16 games for the Nets, averaging 1.6 points and 2.1 rebounds.
