Nuggets cruise past Kings
Denver improved to 4-0 on the season with a 126-112 home win over Sacramento Tuesday night. Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 19 points and four assists in the balanced attack. Gary Harris contributed 18 points, five assists and three boards. Paul Millsap had 15 points and five rebounds. Nikola Jokic accounted for 14 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Trey Lyles chipped in with 12 points, five rebounds and three assists. Mason Plumlee, Monte Morris and Malik Beasley all registered 11 points off the bench.
Lakers roll at Suns
Los Angeles picked up a 131-113 victory last night at Phoenix to move to 1-3 on the season. Lance Stephenson had a big game off the bench with 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting with eight rebounds, eight assists and two steals. JaVale McGee accounted for 20 points, six rebounds, four blocks and two assists. LeBron James had 19 points, 10 assists, seven boards and three steals. Kyle Kuzma registered 17 points and four rebounds. Josh Hart had 15 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope recorded 14 points and two rebounds off the bench. Lonzo Ball added 12 points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals. After leading by two through one quarter of play, the Lakers outscored the Suns 44-24 in the second quarter and cruised from there.
NBA Betting Trends
Denver
The Nuggets are 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. The over is 5-1-1 in the last seven meetings in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles
The Lakers are 6-15 ATS in the last 21 meetings. The over is 19-6-1 in the last 26 meetings overall.
Prediction:
Los Angeles is on a back-to-back with travel against a very good team playing excellent basketball to open the season. The Lakers will be without Rajon Rondo again, who is out with a suspension and therefore he won’t be able to step up in a nationally televised game as he’s been known to do. I can’t see LA hanging with Denver for a full four quarters. Look for the Nuggets to pull away late as they take advantage of the Lakers’ fatigue.
