Cavaliers complete trade for Love
CLEVELAND, OH (TheSpread) – The Cleveland Cavaliers finalized their deal for Kevin Love on Saturday, completing a three-team trade that was agreed to nearly a month ago.
The finalized trade has the Minnesota Timberwolves getting Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett from the Cavs along with Thaddeus Young from Philadelphia. The 76ers will acquire a 2015 first-round draft pick, Alexey Shved and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. Cleveland will get Love and improve their ability to win the NBA Finals next season.
“Kevin joining the Cavaliers represents a very special and unique opportunity for our team,” Cavs general manager David Griffin said in a release. “At only 25, Kevin has already firmly established himself as one of the NBA’s elite players and his talent, versatility and fit are major parts of our team’s vision for success.”
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Cleveland Cavaliers are favored to win the NBA Finals in 2015. Cleveland has 5/2 odds currently while Minnesota now has 150/1 odds while Philadelphia has 300/1 odds.
