Thunder match offer for Enes Kanter
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (The Spread) – On Monday the Thunder re-signed Enes Kanter to a four-year, $70 million contract.
Kanter averaged 18.7 points and 11.0 rebounds over 26 games this past season with the Thunder. He was acquired from the Jazz on February 19 and registered 17 double-doubles, including a Thunder record eight straight double-doubles in late March. The Thunder had to exercise its right to first refusal for Kanter, who received an offer from the Blazers.
“We traded for Enes last season with the intention of keeping him as a member of the Thunder for several years to come, and we are excited that he will continue with us,” said Executive Vice President and GM Sam Presti. “He adds valuable depth to our roster, diversity to our frontcourt and the dimension that he brings offensively will positively impact our team.”
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Thunder are 17/2 to win the 2016 NBA Championship. Only the Cavaliers (11/4), Spurs (3/1) and Warriors (11/2) have better odds.
