Los Angeles Clippers DFS Notes
Kawhi Leonard (right knee) will not suit up for Game 2 vs. the Suns on Tuesday. The lack of clarity on Leonard’s knee injury is quite concerning, and if Shams Charania’s reporting from last week that the Clippers’ feared that Leonard may have suffered an ACL injury, then he’s likely done for the remainder of the postseason. The good news is that the Clippers haven’t yet made that announcement, but it’s also tough to be optimistic given how murky the reporting has been. Expect another start for Terance Mann tomorrow night.
Phoenix Suns DFS Notes
Suns guard Chris Paul (health and safety protocols) has officially been ruled out for Tuesday’s Game 2 against the Clippers. It has been looking like Paul would miss Tuesday’s Game 2 and we now can officially confirm that he is out. Paul reportedly has been symptom-free since testing positive for the virus on the 16th, but he still remains in the league’s covid protocol and will do so until stringing together multiple negative tests in a row. It is still unclear when Paul could return to the lineup, but it is believed that if things continue to go well, it could be sooner rather than later, and possibly even as soon as Thursday’s Game 3. As long as CP3 should remain out, expect Cameron Payne to continue to start in his absence, and for Devin Booker to continue to assume more ball-handling responsibilities. Phoenix will look to take a commanding 2-0 lead in Paul’s absence as they host the Clippers on Tuesday evening.
Clippers vs. Suns Playoffs Prediction
The Clippers are 14-6 against the spread in their last 20 games versus the Suns and are 4-1 in their last five games overall. They’re also 5-2 at the betting window in their last seven road games versus an opponent with a winning home record and have cashed in four of their last five games playing on one day of rest.
