OAKLAND, CA (TheSpread) – LeBron James is coming off his lowest scoring effort of the NBA Finals yet. Will he bounce back and lead the Cavaliers to a win in Game 5 on the road?
According to oddsmakers at online sports book GT Bets, the Warriors are the favorite at home tonight, as they are getting odds of -8.5 points against the Cavaliers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 195.5 points. When it comes to prop odds for LeBron in Game 5, he is getting over/under odds of 35.5 points and 20 rebounds+assists.
LeBron is having an incredible postseason, as he is averaging 29.4 points, 10.8 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game over 18 playoff contests. He is logging a lot of minutes, playing 41.8 minutes per contest. The effort he is putting in on defense is strong as well, which may be taking a toll on his shooting. Despite the high point total, LeBron is shooting just 41.7 percent from the floor and 21.7 percent from 3-point land in the playoffs.
James has been having arguably one of the best NBA Finals in history. He is averaging 35.8 points, 12 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game through the first four games of the series. He is shooting just 38.8 percent from the floor, but has improved his 3-point shooting to 33.3 percent. James had scored at least 39 points in the first three games of the series, but was held to 20 points on 7 of 22 shooting in Game 4. Despite that, he still had 12 rebounds and 8 assists in the losing effort.
