Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog.com have made the host Thunder a 2.5-point favorite in the contest and the over-under is set at 201. Tipoff is slated for 9:05PM EST.
Despite star point guard Russell Westbrook sitting for the entirety of the fourth quarter due to a disagreement with head coach Scott Brooks, the Thunder held off Dallas 106-100 in Game 2 to even the series at 1-1. Kevin Durant led Oklahoma City in scoring with 24 points, while Dirk Nowitzki put in 29 points for the Mavericks in the losing effort.
The Thunder held a one-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, then with Eric Maynor running the show at point guard over the last 12 minutes Oklahoma City outscored Dallas 29-24 over that stretch to close it out.
According to the latest NBA trends, Oklahoma City is 8-4 against the spread versus Dallas over the last three seasons, while the Mavericks are 7-5 straight up in those games. Seven of 12 games in this series have gone over the total during the last three seasons.
