Warriors struggling to cover spread
OAKLAND, CA (The Spread) – The Warriors cruised to a victory over the Pelicans in Game 1 of the Conference Quarterfinals but continue to struggle covering the spread at home.
New Orleans and Golden State will clash again tonight for Game 2 of the series at 10:30PM ET. The Warriors beat the Pelicans 106-99 in Game 1 of this series but failed to cover as a 12-point home favorite. They’re now 0-4 against the spread in their last four games at home.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Warriors are 11-point home favorites over the Pelicans for tonight’s game after opening as an 11.5-point favorite. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 205 after opening at 203.5.
The Warriors are also 0-4 against the spread in their last four games versus Western Conference foes, 0-5 against the number in their last five games coming off a win and are 1-4 ATS in their last five games versus a team with a winning record.
