Mavericks vs. Rockets Series Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The Houston Rockets hope to establish themselves as a legit championship contender when they meet the Dallas Mavericks in the opening round of the NBA Playoffs.
The Rockets are the second seed in the Western Conference, as they went 56-26 on the year. Houston was 30-11 at home and 26-15 on the road while going 33-19 in conference play. Dallas is the seventh seed in the West. The Mavericks are 50-32 overall, 27-14 at home, 23-18 on the road and 29-23 in conference play. Houston will have the home-court advantage in the series.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book GT Bets, the Rockets are favored to win this series, as they are getting odds of -330 to win, while the Mavericks have been given a money line of +265 to win. Game 1 of this series will take place on Saturday at 9:30PM ET.
These two met four times during the regular season and Houston won three of the four games, covering the spread in all three wins. The Rockets were the lone team to get a road win in the four games. Houston has now won and covered the spread in four of its last five against Dallas. The two hit the under in all four meetings this season.
