Celtics vs. Cavaliers Series Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – Of all the opening round series in the Eastern Conference of NBA Playoffs, the most lopsided could be the Cleveland Cavaliers taking on the Boston Celtics. Here’s a look at the odds.
Cleveland is the second seed in the Eastern Conference after it went 53-29 on the season, 31-10 at home, 22-19 on the road and 35-17 in conference play. Boston comes into the series as the seventh seed. The Celtics were 40-42 this season with a 21-20 record at home, a 19-22 mark on the road and a 28-24 record in conference play. Cleveland will have the home-court advantage in this series.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cavaliers are the overwhelming favorite to win this series, as they are getting odds of -3500 to prevail, while the Celtics are getting odds of +1500 to win. Game 1 of this series will take place on Sunday at 3PM ET.
These two met four times during the season and each team won twice, once at home and once on the road. Boston actually beat Cleveland twice in just the last week. The Celtics have won five of their last seven against the Cavs, dating back to last season, while also covering the spread in five of the last seven meetings. These two hit the under in three of their four meetings this year.
