Luka Doncic returned from an illness and sore back Monday to hit 9-of-17 shots and four 3-pointers for 25 points, three rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 28 minutes of a win over OKC. Luka was out on Friday and Saturday but looked pretty good tonight, although he didn’t post a monster stat line. Then again, he didn’t have to against the Thunder in the easy win and hopefully this is the last we hear of his back issue.
Boston Celtics DFS Spin
Jayson Tatum shot 12-of-25 from the field for 34 points, nine rebounds and five assists in a tough loss vs. New Orleans on Monday. The Celtics were playing in front of fans for the first time all season, and tonight’s defeat kicks off a critical seven-game homestand. If they’re going to build momentum after a turbulent 23-24 start to the season, now is the time. To quote Marcus Smart from this weekend, “We’ve got a lot of talent out here individually, but that’s not going to beat anybody.” Tatum has been hot lately and could go off vs. the Mavs on Wednesday if Jaylen Brown (bruised hip) sits out again.
Mavericks vs. Celtics Betting Prediction
The Mavericks have covered in eight of their last 11 meetings with the Celtics in Boston. They’re also 5-2 against the number in their last seven games as a favorite, are 8-3 against the number in their last 11 games as a road favorite and have covered in four straight games played on Wednesday. The Celtics, meanwhile, are 1-4 against the spread in their last five home games.
