Sacramento Kings Fantasy Spin
Buddy Hield shot 7-of-14 from three in Saturday’s win over the Suns, finishing with 25 points, seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot. Hield now holds the franchise record for most three-pointers made in a season, as he passed Peja Stojakovic during Saturday’s win. After going 0-of-8 from deep in a March 19 loss to the Nets, Hield has made 14 of his 27 attempts in the two games since. A top-40 player in nine-category leagues for the season, he’s been a top-25 player over the last month. Productive as a scorer and three-point shooter, Hield entered Saturday averaging 5.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game in his last 13 games.
Los Angeles Lakers Fantasy Spin
LeBron James (left knee contusion) is listed as probable for Sunday’s game against the Kings. LeBron tweaked his knee late in Friday’s game against the Nets, which prompted coach Luke Walton to say following the game that they would be cautious with him down the stretch. It seems like he’s healthy enough to give it a go against Sacrament, meaning he should be in all lineups as usual.
NBA Betting Trends
Sacramento
The Kings are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games against the Lakers but the road team is 4-1 against the number in their last five games between these two teams.
Los Angeles
The Lakers are 3-14 against the spread in their last 17 games overall and are winless against the number in their last five games overall.
Prediction
The Kings are an attractive buy tonight given how poorly the Lakers are playing but laying four points with a road team that is playing on zero rest doesn’t offer much value. So instead, I’m playing the under. The under is 23-9-1 in the Kings’ last 33 games overall and is 10-4-1 in their last 15 road games. On the other side, the under is 4-1 in the Lakers’ last five games overall and is 37-17-1 in their last 55 games at Staples Center. Finally, in the last 13 meetings between these two teams, the under is 9-3-1 and in the last seven meetings at Staples Center, the under has cashed in six of the previous seven meetings.
Sunday NBA Prediction: Kings/Lakers under 228.5
